Karagöl (Black Lake) is a crater lake between the Çubuk and Kızılcahamam districts. There are picnic tables around the Lake. Karagöl, of which name can be found in the legend of Tantalos, is on the mountain of Yamanlar. There are pinewood forests around the lake which is small, circular and have a nice view. It is an ideal place for trekking and sightseeing. 

In 2011, Lake is registered as national park. There are country club, a keeper's house, wc, entry cabin, parking area, and many other facilities on the reach of the park. Field business is contracted to the Municipality of Çubuklu. The park offers daily relaxing and picnic opportunities in summer and winter with a great sightseeing of the lake and the nature it contains.

In the forests near the lake, there are fresh water resources. Fresh water is very cold at the rising spots. In fact, the water rising flowing between the rocks is so cold that, it can be observed that the water is freezing in even   August. Also, it is possible to encounter with game animals in the forest. Moreover, one can see snow on the hills even in summer months...
